Over my six years at Novatus, I’ve witnessed the firm’s incredible growth - with new clients, new opportunities, and constant momentum. I joined as a Senior Manager and have grown alongside the business into an Executive Director role, which speaks volumes about the opportunities here for those who want to develop.

I’ve learned more than I ever expected, surrounded by talented people doing seriously cool work. We’ve built things, broken things, and failed fast along the way - but that’s part of the fun and how we improve. I’ve felt empowered to take initiative, shape ideas, and watch them grow. Being part of a culture that encourages ownership, experimentation, and learning has been genuinely inspiring.

Since joining Novatus, I’ve had the opportunity to grow quickly, including stepping into greater responsibility across key client implementations and technical projects. What’s stood out most to me, though, is the team culture. Everyone is approachable, supportive, and willing to share their knowledge, which makes a big difference, especially when you’re tackling complex challenges. There’s a genuine focus on collaboration and development, and people really want to see each other succeed.That creates an environment where you can do your best work, while also delivering strong results for clients.

I feel like a different person since joining Novatus nearly two years ago. The growth we’ve experienced as a company, a team and individuals has been remarkable, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to be part of that journey. There’s a genuine sense that we’re building something meaningful, laying the foundations for the firm of the future, and I can clearly see how my own contributions shape that. I have had the privilege of working with fantastic clients, leading internal initiatives, and receiving encouragement to drive my career faster than I would have imagined. It’s inspiring to be part of this team, to work like this and feel a sense of reward for the things I do. I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for us.

Over the past six years at Novatus, I’ve had the opportunity to grow alongside the business as the founding engineer of the Enact platform. In the early days, I wasn’t just building the product - I was helping define it, through shaping the architecture, hiring the original team, and setting its direction.

That level of ownership created real opportunity for growth, both technically and in how I approach systems, teams, and building practical products. I’ve especially valued seeing ideas turn into real systems and continuously improve over time.

The engineering team is a big part of what makes it such a great place to work - a close-knit, collaborative group with a strong sense of shared ownership, both in the quality of the work and the support we give each other.

I joined Novatus as an Analyst on their first Graduate Scheme in September 2025. Coming from a background in Classics and a year of teaching, I wasn’t sure my application would be considered. However, despite my lack of financial services experience, Novatus made it clear they value future Consultants with the right aptitude and soft skills.

Six months in, I’d encourage anyone starting out in consulting not to be put off by an unconventional background. Novatus has a friendly, supportive culture where no one is too senior to offer advice. As a graduate, that access to experienced colleagues is invaluable, and it’s a brilliant place to develop in a high-performing boutique environment, something I personally prefer to larger schemes with huge cohorts.
